Cinematography is a results oriented art form where the work frequently overshadows the process of creation. That’s fine for a viewer, but as a camera person, devising methods of image making that might require multi-layered team work, performance enhancing lighting, camera choreography, or all 3 is my catnip. I’ve been chasing the highs that come with that level of collaboration for my entire adult life. If that’s the kind of filmmaking that makes your brain receptors light up, then maybe our creative efforts can collide.
